Then you shall take the anointing oil, and pour it on his head, and anoint him.
if the anointed priest sins so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him offer for his sin, which he has sinned, a young bull without blemish to the LORD for a sin offering. He shall bring the bull to the door of the Tent of Meeting before the LORD; and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull and kill the bull before the LORD. Some urged me to kill you; but I spared you; and I said, I will not put forth my hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed.
David said to Abishai, "Do not destroy him; for who can put forth his hand against the LORD's anointed, and be guiltless?" David said, "As the LORD lives, the LORD will strike him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall go down into battle and perish. The LORD forbid that I should put forth my hand against the LORD's anointed; but now please take the spear that is at his head, and the jar of water, and let us go."
He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his seed, forevermore.
Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand.
