for to all the promises of God he supplies the "Yes" that confirms them. That is why we utter the "Amen" through him, when we give glory to God.
So I tell you, ask, and what you ask will be given you. Search, and you will find what you search for. Knock, and the door will open to you.
I will grant anything you ask me for as my followers.

So if you, bad as you are, know enough to give your children what is good, how much more surely will your Father in heaven give the holy Spirit to those who ask him for it!"

We know that God does not listen to sinful people, but if a man is devout and obeys God, God will listen to him.

And we have confidence in him, that if we ask him for anything that is in accordance with his will, he will listen to us. And if we know that he listens to whatever we ask him for, we know that the requests we have made of him are granted.
