Ask, and it shall be given you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.
Let us therefore approach with boldness the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace for timely aid.
But when you pray enter into your private room, and having shut your door pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you. And when you pray use not vain repetitions, as the gentiles do; for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not, therefore, like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, Give me a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall the Father from heaven give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him.

And if any one of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and upbraids not, and it shall be given him.

Be anxious for nothing, but with all prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And may the peace of God which passes all understanding keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
And this is the confidence which we have in respect to him, that if we ask any thing according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
