And I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual, but as fleshly, as infants in Christ. I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you weren't yet ready. And even now you are still not ready,

as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby to salvation,

From the lips of babes and infants you have ordained praise, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.

For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
