11 Bible Verses about Being A Soldier

No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.

Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up. I have overcome the world."

and he said, "The LORD is my Rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, even mine; God, my Rock, in him I will take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge. My savior, you save me from violence. I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from my enemies.

Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. And look, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

Blessed is he who considers the poor. The LORD will deliver him in the day of evil. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive. He shall be blessed on the earth, and he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies. The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch forth your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.

They profess that they know God, but by their works they deny him, being abominable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.

Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life."
