For even though he causes grief he has compassion according to the greatness of his royal love. He does not {afflict willingly}, or grieve {anyone}.

Blessed [is] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those [who are] in all affliction with the comfort with which [we] ourselves are comforted by God.

For you have rescued me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.

Blessed [are] the ones who mourn, because they will be comforted.

because the Lamb [who is] in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and will lead them to springs of living waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

And it happened that on the next [day] he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a large crowd went with him. And as he approached the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, his mother's only son, and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the town was with her. And [when] the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, "Do not weep!"

Then Jesus, when he saw her weeping and the Jews who came with her weeping, was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled within himself.
