so I long for You, God.
For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land with streams of water, springs, and deep water sources, flowing in both valleys and hills;
After a while, the wadi dried up because there had been no rain in the land.
The ravens kept bringing him bread and meat in the morning and in the evening, and he drank from the wadi.
A king’s heart is like streams of water in the Lord’s hand:
He directs it wherever He chooses.
“Leave here, turn eastward, and hide yourself at the Wadi Cherith where it enters the Jordan.
He is like a tree planted beside streams of water
that bears its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
Streams flowing with water will be on every high mountain and every raised hill on the day of great slaughter when the towers fall.
In that day
the mountains will drip with sweet wine,
and the hills will flow with milk.
All the streams of Judah will flow with water,
and a spring will issue from the Lord’s house,
watering the Valley of Acacias.
Each will be like a shelter from the wind,
a refuge from the rain,
like streams of water in a dry land
and the shade of a massive rock in an arid land.
Should your springs flow in the streets,
streams of water in the public squares?
Even the wild animals cry out to You,
for the river beds are dried up,
and fire has consumed
the pastures of the wilderness.

On the first day you are to take the product of majestic trees—palm fronds, boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook—and rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.
Therefore it is stated in the Book of the Lord’s Wars:

So he did what the Lord commanded. Elijah left and lived by the Wadi Cherith where it enters the Jordan.
“This is what you may eat from all that is in the water: You may eat everything in the water that has fins and scales, whether in the seas or streams.
The channels will stink;
they will dwindle, and Egypt’s canals will be parched.
Reed and rush will die.
They will come weeping,
but I will bring them back with consolation.
I will lead them to wadis filled with water
by a smooth way where they will not stumble,
for I am Israel’s Father,
and Ephraim is My firstborn.
He will drink from the brook by the road;
therefore, He will lift up His head.
They traveled from there to Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land with streams of water.
Then Elijah ordered them, “Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let even one of them escape.” So they seized them, and Elijah brought them down to the Wadi Kishon and slaughtered them there.
