Nor do men light a candle, to put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick: and then it giveth light to all in the house.

Ye are the light of the world: a city, that is situated on a hill, cannot be hid.

So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father, who is in heaven.

But yet no one having lighted a candle putteth it into a secret place, nor under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they who come in may see the light. The eye is the candle of the body: therefore when thine eye is clear, thy whole body also is light; but when it is bad, thy body also is dark. Take heed therefore least the light which is in thee be darkness.
