9 Bible Verses about Caring For The Sick

I was naked and you clothed Me;
I was sick and you took care of Me;
I was in prison and you visited Me.’

The one who oppresses the poor person insults his Maker,
but one who is kind to the needy honors Him.

But I will bring you health
and will heal you of your wounds—
this is the Lord’s declaration—
for they call you Outcast,
Zion whom no one cares about.

Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone cheerful? He should sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? He should call for the elders of the church, and they should pray over him after anointing him with olive oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will restore him to health; if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.

Lord my God,

Then they sat on the ground with him seven days and nights, but no one spoke a word to him because they saw that his suffering was very intense.
