For out of the heart come wicked designs, murder, adultery, immorality, stealing, false witness, impious speech.

Dear friends, I beg you, as aliens and exiles here, not to indulge the physical cravings that are at war with the soul.

But if they cannot control themselves, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to be on fire with passion.

Will you warn men against adultery, and yet practice it yourself? Will you pretend to detest idols, and yet rob their temples?
