Then there were brought to him children, that be might lay his hands on them, and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said to them, Suffer the children, and forbid them not to come to me; for to such belongeth the kingdom of heaven.
And they brought children to him, that he might touch them; and the disciples rebuked those that brought them. But Jesus seeing it was much displeased, and said to them, Suffer the children to come to me; forbid them not; for to such belongeth the kingdom of God. Truly do I say to you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a child, will not enter therein.read more.
And he took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands upon them.
And they brought to him infants also, that he might touch them; and the disciples, on seeing it, rebuked them. But Jesus called them to him, saying, Suffer the little children to come to me, and forbid them not; for to such belongeth the kingdom of God. Truly do I say to you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, will not enter therein.
And he called a child to him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Truly do I say to you, Unless ye are changed, and become as children, ye will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.read more.
And whoever receiveth one such child in my name, receiveth me.
And he took a child, and placed him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them, Whoever receiveth one of these children in my name, receiveth me; and whoever receiveth me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
And Jesus knowing the reasoning of their heart, took a child and set him by his side, and said to them, Whoever receiveth this child in my name, receiveth me; and whoever receiveth me, receiveth him who sent me. For he that is least among you all, he is great.
Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say to you, that their angels in heaven continually behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.
Thus it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
