He will not strive, nor shout; neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets.
He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he did not open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is mute, so he did not open his mouth.
Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. As a lamb before his shearer is silent, so he does not open his mouth.

He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Jesus, "Where are you from?" But Jesus gave him no answer.
I will not speak with you much longer, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has no hold on me.
Pilate therefore said to him, "Are you not speaking to me? Do you not know that I have power to release you, and have power to crucify you?"
