And Pilate answered and said again to them: What, then, do you wish me to do with him whom you call the King of the Jews?
And the superscription containing his accusation was written above him: THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Then Pilate again entered the governor's palace, and called Jesus, and said to him: Are you the king of the Jews?
And Pilate wrote a superscription, and put it on the cross; and the writing was, JESUS THE NAZABENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pi late: Write not, The king of the Jews; but, that he said, I am the king of the Jews.
But you have a custom, that I release to you one during the passover. Are you willing, then, that I should release to you the king of the Jews?
He saved others; himself he can not save. If he is the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on him.
