And he said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men."

Jesus said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men."

And as Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed him.

And as he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, "Follow me." And he arose and followed him.

After these things he went out, and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax office, and said to him, "Follow me."

Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." But when the young man heard the saying, he went away sad, for he was one who had great possessions.

On the next day, he was determined to go out into Galilee, and he found Philip. And Jesus said to him, "Follow me."

Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, "Follow me."

Now the God of patience and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus,

Now I mean this, that each one of you says, "I follow Paul," "I follow Apollos," "I follow Cephas," and, "I follow Christ."

He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow after me, is not worthy of me.

"If anyone comes to me, and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. Whoever does not bear his own cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

He called the crowd to himself with his disciples, and said to them, "If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

He said to all, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. If anyone serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there will my servant also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

But Jesus said to him, "Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead."

He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.

Whoever seeks to save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life preserves it.

Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."

Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross."

When Jesus heard it, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. You will have treasure in heaven. Come, follow me."

For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it? Or perhaps, when he has laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, everyone who sees begins to mock him, saying, 'This man began to build, and was not able to finish.'read more.
Or what king, as he goes to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends an envoy, and asks for conditions of peace. So therefore whoever of you who does not renounce all that he has, he cannot be my disciple.

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,

He said to another, "Follow me." But he said, "Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father."

Another also said, "I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to bid farewell to those who are at my house."

A great crowd followed him, because they saw the signs which he did on those who were sick.

At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jewish people. The same came to him by night, and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him."

The one who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him."

So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Jesus therefore said to those Judeans who had believed him, "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.

If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

Be imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.

If any man does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Come, Lord.

Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments.

and whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight. This is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, even as he commanded us. He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.

These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb.
