The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent,

Repent therefore of this, your wickedness, and ask the Lord if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.

If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have done to you.

Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,

If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

The one who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him."

If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and remain in his love.

This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commandments. One who says, "I know him," and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps his word, God's love has truly been perfected in him. This is how we know that we are in him:read more.
