Or hast thou walked searching out the deep? Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? Or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? Declare if thou knowest it all. Where is the way to the habitation of the light, and where is the place of the darkness? If thou shalt take it in its borders, and if thou should understand the paths to its house? If thou didst know when thou wast to be born or if the number of thy days was to be great? Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow, and hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? By what way is the light divided; from where is the east wind scattered upon the earth? Who has divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters or a way for the lightning of thunder, to cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, in which there is no man; to satisfy the desolate and waste ground and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth? Has the rain a father? Or who has begotten the drops of the dew? Out of whose womb came the ice, and the hoary frost of heaven, who has begotten it? The waters harden as stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Canst thou bring forth the signs of the heavens in their season, or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? Dost thou know the ordinances of the heavens? Canst thou use its power in the earth? Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee? Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are? Who put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who gave intelligence to understanding? Who declared the heavens in wisdom? Or who can stay the bottles of heaven when the dust hardens and the clods cleave fast together? Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion or fill the appetite of the young lions, when they crouch in their dens and abide in their lairs to lie in wait? Who provided food for the raven; when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of food?

For thou hast possessed my kidneys: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are thy works, and that, my soul knows right well. My body was not hid from thee, even though I was made in secret and brought together in the lowest parts of the earth.read more.

I form the light and create darkness; I make peace and create evil: I am the LORD that does all this. Release, ye heavens, from above, and the clouds shall pour down righteous ness; let the earth open up, and let salvation and righteousness bear their fruit; let them produce fruit together; I the LORD have created it. And he has filled them with wisdom of heart to work all manner of work of the engraver and of the cunning workman and of the embroiderer, in blue and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver: that they may do any work, and invent every design.

And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the desire of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom that they may make all that I have commanded thee:

Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab and every wise hearted man unto whom the LORD gave wisdom and intelligence to know how to do all the work of the service of the sanctuary, all the things that the LORD had commanded. And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab and every wise hearted man in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom and every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it;

And everyone with a wise heart among those that wrought the work made the tabernacle of ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet, which they made of cunning work, with cherubim.

Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber and all manner of expert men for every manner of work. Of the gold, the silver, and the brass and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and go to work, and the LORD be with thee.

And the house which I must build is great, for great is our God above all gods. But who is so powerful as to build him a house, seeing the heavens and heavens of the heavens cannot contain him? Who am I then that I should build him a house, except to burn incense before him? Send me now, therefore, a wise man who knows how to work in gold and in silver and in brass and in iron and in purple and crimson and blue and that knows how to engrave figures with the craftsmen that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David, my father, provided.

Let them praise his name in the dance; let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after the ark had rest. And they served before the tent of the tabernacle of the testimony with singing until Solomon had built the house of the LORD in Jerusalem, and then they remained in their ministry according to their right.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To show forth thy mercy in the morning and thy faithfulness every night upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the psaltery, upon the harp with a pleasant sound.

Sing praises unto the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the voice of a song.

I will sing a new song unto thee, O God; upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings I will sing praises unto thee.

Of what profit is the graven image that its maker has sculpted; the molten image, that teaches lies, so that in making dumb images the maker trusts in his work?

Cursed is the man that makes any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and puts it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.

and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods, but the work of men's hands, wood or stone; therefore, they have destroyed them.

The workman prepares the graven image, and the goldsmith spreads it over with gold and casts silver chains. He that is so impoverished that he has no oblation chooses a tree that will not rot; he seeks unto himself a cunning workman to prepare a graven image that shall not be moved.

Who has formed God? And who cast a graven image that is profitable for nothing? Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed; for the workmen, they are of men; even if all of them are gathered together and stand, they shall fear and shall be ashamed together. The smith shall take the tongs; he shall work among the coals; he shall give it form with the hammers and bring forth in it the arm of his strength; though he is hungry and his strength fails: he shall not drink water, even if he faints.read more.
The carpenter stretches out his rule; he measures it with a line; he fits it with planes; he marks it out with the compass; he makes it after the form of a noble man, in the likeness of the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
