His eyes were like a fiery flame, and many crowns were on His head. He had a name written that no one knows except Himself.
You made him lower than the angels
for a short time;
You crowned him with glory and honor

For in subjecting everything to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. As it is, we do not yet see everything subjected to him. Also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
So then, my brothers, you are dearly loved and longed for—my joy and crown. In this manner stand firm in the Lord, dear friends.
For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming? Is it not you?
Now everyone who competes exercises self-control in everything. However, they do it to receive a crown that will fade away, but we a crown that will never fade away.
