God called the light day. He called the darkness night. There was evening and there was morning, one day.

God made the two great lights. The sun was to govern the day. The moon was to govern the night. He made the stars also.

Jesus answered: Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walks in the day he does not stumble because he sees the light of this world.

Day and night in the tombs and in the mountains he cried out. He would cut himself with stones.
