whom having seized he put in prison, having delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep, purposing after the passover to bring him out to the people.

But I make known to you, brethren, the glad tidings which I announced to you, which also ye received, in which also ye stand, by which also ye are saved, (if ye hold fast the word which I announced to you as the glad tidings,) unless indeed ye have believed in vain. For I delivered to you, in the first place, what also I had received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures;

And he is the head of the body, the assembly; who is the beginning, firstborn from among the dead, that he might have the first place in all things:

He is not here, for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

but he says to them, Be not alarmed. Ye seek Jesus, the Nazarene, the crucified one. He is risen, he is not here; behold the place where they had put him.

but if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
