Evangelism » The preaching of the cross

1 Corinthians 1:18-25

For the word of the cross is foolishness indeed to those who are lost; but to those who are saved it is the power of God. Where is the wise man? where is the scribe? where is the investigator of this age? has not God rendered the wisdom of the world foolishness? read more.

As we have before said, and now again I tell you, If any one preaches to you a gospel except that which you have received, let him be accursed. For must I now believe men, or God? whether do I seek to please men? if I were still pleasing men, I would not be the servant of Christ.
