For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many.

for many shall come in my name, saying, I Am Christ, and shall deceive many.

Then he said, Take heed that ye not be deceived, for many shall come in my name, saying, I am; and the time draws near; therefore, go ye not after them.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Behold, here is the Christ, or there, believe it not.

And then if anyone should say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or, Behold, he is there, do not believe him;

For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders in such a manner that they shall deceive, if possible, the very elect.

for false Christs and false prophets shall rise and shall show signs and wonders to seduce, if possible, even the elect.

For as the lightning that comes out of the east and shines even unto the west, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wherever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken,read more.

But woe to those that are with child and to those that give suck in those days! Pray, therefore, that your flight not be in winter. For those days shall be of affliction such as never was from the beginning of the creation of the things which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved, but for the elect's sake, whom he has chosen, he has shortened those days. And then if anyone should say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or, Behold, he is there, do not believe him; for false Christs and false prophets shall rise and shall show signs and wonders to seduce, if possible, even the elect.
