6 Bible Verses about First Death

Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. (This is the second death the lake of fire.)

How blessed and holy are those who participate in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and the Messiah, and will rule with him for a thousand years.

Brothers, this is what I mean: Mortal bodies cannot inherit the kingdom of God, and what decays cannot inherit what does not decay. Let me tell you a secret. Not all of us will die, but all of us will be changed in a moment, faster than an eye can blink, at the sound of the last trumpet. But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve like other people who have no hope. With a shout of command, with the archangel's call, and with the sound of God's trumpet, the Lord himself will come down from heaven, and the dead who belong to the Messiah will rise first.
