Woe to you, ye blind guides, who say, Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor. Ye fools, and blind: for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thy own eye?
Let them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leadeth the blind, both will fall into the ditch.
And he spoke a parable to them; Can the blind lead the blind? will they not both fall into the ditch?
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint, and anise, and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ye ought to have done, and not to leave the others undone. Ye blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel.
And the Lord said to him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without, make that which is within also?
A good man, out of the good treasure of the heart, bringeth forth good things: and an evil man, out of the evil treasure, bringeth forth evil things. But I say to you, That for every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account in the day of judgment.

And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? Do ye not yet understand, that whatever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.read more.

Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in its season: he reserveth to us the appointed weeks of harvest. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good things from you.

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at evening, or at midnight, or at the cock-crowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly, he should find you sleeping.
Let your loins be girt, and your lights burning; And ye yourselves like men that wait for their lord, when he shall return from the wedding; that, when he cometh and knocketh, they may open to him immediately.
But I say to you, That whoever is angry with his brother without a cause, shall be in danger of the judgment: and whoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell-fire.
For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
