"Hear this message from the LORD, you who tremble at his words: "Your own brothers who hate you and exclude you because of my name have said: "Let the LORD be glorified; he will see your joy,' yet it is they who will be put to shame.

"Then they'll hand you over to suffer and will kill you, and you'll be hated by all the nations because of my name.

"How blessed are you whenever people hate you, avoid you, insult you, and slander you because of the Son of Man!

You will be hated continuously by everyone because of my name.

If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as one of its own. But because you do not belong to the world and I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you.

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I don't belong to the world.
