He spoke this signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, Follow Me.

And He said to all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

And great crowds went with Him. And He turned and said to them, If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me, he cannot be My disciple.

Then Jesus spoke again to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there also My servant shall be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

Jesus said to him, If I desire that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.
