But I have said to you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am LORD your God, who has separated you from the peoples.

And it shall be, when LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land which he swore to thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee, great and goodly cities, which thou did not build, and houses full of all good things, which thou did not fill, and cisterns hewn out, which thou did not hew, vineyards and olive trees, which thou did not plant, and thou shall eat and be full, then beware lest thou forget LORD, who brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
If thou shall say in thy heart, These nations are more than I. How can I dispossess them? Thou shall not be afraid of them. Thou shall remember well what LORD thy God did to Pharaoh, and to all Egypt: the great trials which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the outstretched arm by which LORD thy God brought thee out.
