And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever-

And out of the ground made Jehovah God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat; and she gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge; For I have believed in thy commandments.

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah. What man is he that desireth life, And loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile.read more.
Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it.

The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do his commandments : His praise endureth for ever.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Howbeit, I had not known sin, except through the law: for I had not known coveting, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet:

But the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and faith unfeigned:
