8 Bible Verses about Labour Pains

A woman in labor has grief because her hour is come; but when she has given birth to the babe she no longer remembers her anguish, because of joy that a child has been born into the world.

She was with child; and she cried out, travailing in birth, in anguish to be delivered.

For it is written, Rejoice, O thou barren one who dost never bear, Break forth in joy, thou that dost not travail; For the children of the desolate woman are many. Yea, more than hers who has a husband.

O my little children, of whom I travail again in birth until Christ be formed within you!

All these things are the beginning of birth-pangs.

For nation shall rise in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines; these are the beginning of birth-pangs.

While men are saying "Peace and safety," then, like birth-pangs upon a woman with child, destruction will come upon them suddenly. In no wise will they escape.

For we know that all nature has been groaning and travailing together until this hour.
