All this happened that the word of the Lord spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled. Behold! the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a son; and they shall call his name Immanuel, a word which means "God with us."

"But if it is in the power of the Spirit of God is already upon you.

"But if it is by the finger of God that I am casting out demons, then the kingdom of God is come upon you.

This beginning of signs Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and showed forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him there.

This man came to Jesus by night, and said to him. "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher sent from God; for no man can do these signs which you are continually doing, unless God is with him."

So the chief priests and Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.

Meanwhile the crowd which was with him when he summoned Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead, kept witnessing. For this reason, too, the crowd came to meet him, because they had heard about this sign which he had done.

There were then many other signs which Jesus performed in the presence of his disciples, which have not been written in this book;

Then some of the Scribes and Pharisees accosted him. "Teacher," they said, "we want to see some sign from you." In reply Jesus told them. "An evil and faithless generation seeks a sign, and no sign will be given them except the sign of the prophet Jonah. "For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the sea-monster's belly, so the Son of man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

When the crowd were beginning to throng about him he proceeded to say. "This is an evil generation! It seeks a sign, and there shall be no sign be given to it except the sign of Jonah; "for as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so shall the Son of man be to this generation.

Then the Jews asked Jesus, "What sign are you going to show us, seeing that you do these things?" "Destroy this temple," answered Jesus, "and in three days I will raise it up." The Jews retorted, "This Temple took forty-six years to build, and will you 'raise it in three days'?"read more.
But he was speaking about the temple of his body; and when the disciples recalled what he had said, after he had been raised from the dead, they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.

Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came to him, and in order to test him, asked him to show them a sign from heaven. In answer he said: "In the evening you say, 'It will be fine weather, for the sky is red as fire'; and at dawn you say, 'It will storm today, for the sky is red and lowering.' When he had seated himself on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?"
