Mark 7:1-8

Wo unto you scribes and pharisees, hypocrites; for ye clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but within they are full of rapine and intemperance: thou blind pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and of the dish, that the outside of them may be also clean. And as He spake, a certain pharisee asked Him to dine with him: and He went in and sat down at table. And when the pharisee saw it he wondered that He did not wash first, before dinner. But the Lord said unto him, ye pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but your inward part is full of rapine and wickedness.read more.

Luke 18:9-14

And He spake also this parable to some that trusted in themselves as being righteous, and despised others. Two men went up to the temple to pray; the one a pharisee and the other a publican. The pharisee standing by himself prayed thus, O God, I thank thee that I am not as other men are, rapacious, unjust, adulterous, or even as this publican.read more.

And he said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. Then said some of the pharisees, This man is not of God, because He doth not keep the sabbath: but others said, How can a wicked man do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

Romans 2:17-24

Behold thou art called a Jew, and restest on the law, and boastest in God, and knowest his will, and approvest things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law, and art persuaded that thou art a guide of the blind,read more.

But He said unto them, What man of you shall have one of his sheep fall into a pit on the sabbath-day, and will not lay hold of it and lift it out? And of how much more worth is a man than a sheep? Sure then it is lawful to do good on the sabbath-days. Then saith He to the man, Stretch out thine hand: and he stretched it out, and it was made sound like the other. But the pharisees went out of the synagogue and took counsel together against Him, how they might destroy Him:

Therefore they asked him, Who is the man that said to thee, Take up thy bed and walk? but he, that was healed, did not know who it was: for Jesus had withdrawn himself, there being many people in the place. Afterwards Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said to him, Behold, thou art healed; sin no more, least something worse befal thee. And the man went away, and told the Jews, that it was Jesus who had healed him. And for this did the Jews persecute Jesus, and endeavoured to put Him to death; because He had done these things on the sabbath-day.

John 7:21-24

Then said Jesus unto her, Neither do I condemn thee, Go thy way and sin no more.

Matthew 22:34-40

But when the pharisees heard that He had silenced the sadducees, they gathered together again, and one of them, an interpreter of the law, propounded a question, to try Him, and said, Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law?read more.

For I will forgive their crimes, and their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more."
