Now concerning eating things sacrificed unto idols: we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
What do I say then? that an idol is any thing, or that which is sacrificed to an idol is any thing? But that what the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to daemons, and not to God: and I would not have you in communion with daemons.
and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We too are mortals subject to the same infirmities with you; preaching to you the gospel, that ye should turn from these vain things unto the living God, who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things which are therein:
