For this cause I have sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
(for I pass through Macedonia) And perhaps I may stay, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me forward on my journey, whithersoever I go.
Therefore let no man despise him, but conduct him forward on his journey in peace, that he may come to me; for I look for him with the brethren.
and to come to you again from Macedonia, and to be brought forward by you in my way toward Judea.
And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have often proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, through his great confidence in you.
Yet I have sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you on this head should be made vain, that, as I said, ye may be ready;
