And with these sayings scarce restrained they the multitude from sacrificing to them. But there came thither Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the multitude, and having stoned Paul, dragged him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. But as the disciples stood round about him, he rose and went into the city; and the next day, he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. And having preached the gospel to that city, and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith; and that we must through many tribulations enter into the kingdom of God. And when they had ordained them presbyters in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.
