When there is a man whose work was done with wisdom, knowledge, and skill, and he must give his portion to a man who has not worked for it, this too is futile and a great wrong. For what does a man get with all his work and all his efforts that he labors at under the sun?
What does a man gain for all his efforts

You will be righteous, Lord,

Suddenly, an angel touched him. The angel told him, “Get up and eat.”
Therefore, I hated life because the work that was done under the sun was distressing to me. For everything is futile and a pursuit of the wind. I hated all my work that I labored at under the sun because I must leave it to the man who comes after me.
Who is this who obscures My counsel
with ignorant words?
Get ready to answer Me like a man;
when I question you, you will inform Me.
Where were you when I established the earth?

when I declared: “You may come this far, but no farther;
your proud waves stop here”? Have you ever in your life commanded the morning
or assigned the dawn its place,
The people spoke against God and Moses: “Why have you led us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!”
In those days people will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, but death will flee from them.
