David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will act.
But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble. The LORD helps them, and rescues them. He rescues them from the wicked, and saves them, Because they have taken refuge in him.
Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
With God is my salvation and my honor. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Answer me, LORD, for your loving kindness is good. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.

But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you." So that with good courage we say, "The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?"
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
