Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he have died, will live; and whoever liveth and believeth in me will never die. Believest thou this?
but they who have been accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage; for they cannot die any more; for they are like the angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
Truly, truly do I say to you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and cometh not into condemnation, but hath passed out of death into life. Truly, truly do I say to you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear will live.

For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Why also do we stand in peril every hour? I protest, brethren, by my glorying in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, that I die daily. If with the views of men I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead rise not, "let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die."
We have courage, therefore, always, and know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; for we walk by faith, not by sight; but we have courage, and are well pleased rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.read more.
Wherefore we also strive that, whether at home or absent, we may be approved by him. For we must all be made manifest before the judgmentseat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he did, whether good or bad.
according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be put to shame, but that with all boldness, as always, so also now, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying that it is through many afflictions that we mast enter into the kingdom of God.
Beloved, be not surprised at the fiery trial which is taking place among you to prove you, as though a strange thing were befalling you; but, in so far as ye share in Christs sufferings, rejoice; that also at the manifestation of his glory ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.
