remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place except thou repent.
be watchful, and fortify the rest that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. remember therefore what thou hast received and heard: observe it and repent. if therefore thou art not vigilant, I will come upon thee as a thief, thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

and as the divine assistance accompany'd them, a great number of persons believed and became converts.
When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled, trembled; they were all filled with the holy spirit, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
for which cause I am not discouraged, but tho' my body decays, yet my mind is daily renewed.
do not drink to excess, for that tends to dissoluteness, but be regal'd with spiritual entertainments:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God to you, that you present your bodies a living victim, holy, acceptable unto God, as the service of a rational being. and be not conformed to the present age: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may perceive what God requires of you is good, and acceptable, and perfect.
and to be renewed in your mind, by living like men formed anew, after the image of God, in justice, sanctity, and truth.
I don't imagine, my brethren, that I am arriv'd at the goal; but this I do, unmindful of what is pass'd, I stretch towards that which is in view, I press towards the mark for the prize to which God has called me from above by Jesus Christ.
let there be no fraud among you, since you have discarded your former habits and practices, and are become new men, improv'd by knowledge into a resemblance of him, who made this change: by which there is now neither Greek, or Jew; circumcised, or uncircumcised; Barbarian, or Scythian; slave, or freeman; but Christ is all, and in all.read more.
