What [is the] abundance of your sacrifices to me? says Yahweh. I have had enough [of] burnt offerings of rams and [the] fat [of] fattened animals and I do not delight in [the] blood of bulls and ram-lambs and goats.
"But [when you] pray, do not babble repetitiously like the pagans, for they think that because of their many words they will be heard.
Do not be carried away by various and strange teachings, for [it is] good [for] the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods by which those who participate have not benefited.
You are estranged from Christ, [you] who are attempting to be justified by the law; you have fallen from grace.
Let no one condemn you, taking pleasure in humility and the worship of angels, going into detail [about] [the things] which he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by the ligaments and sinews, grows with the growth of God. If you have died with Christ to the elemental spirits of the world, why do you submit [to them] as [if] living in the world?read more.

But even if you might suffer for the sake of righteousness, [you are] blessed. And do not be afraid of their intimidation or be disturbed,
"You must not call conspiracy everything that this people calls conspiracy, and you must not {share its fear}, and you must not be in dread. You shall regard Yahweh of hosts as holy, and he [is] your fear, and he [is] your dread.
Be exalted, O Yahweh, in your strength, and we sing and praise your power.
For John came to you in the way of righteousness and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did believe him. And [when] you saw [it], you did not even change your minds later [so as] to believe in him.
And it will be like people, like priest; I will punish them [for] their ways, and I will requite them for their deeds.
Its rulers judge for a bribe; its priests teach for a price; its prophets practice divination for money. But they lean on Yahweh, saying, "[Is] not Yahweh in our midst? Disaster will not come upon us."
