And on the Sabbath day we went outside the city beside a river, where it was customary for prayer to be. And having sat down, we spoke to the women who came together.
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept when we remembered Zion. Upon the willows in the midst of it we hung up our harps. For there those who led us captive required of us songs, and those who wasted us, mirth, [saying], Sing for us one of the songs of Zion.
Then I came to those of the captivity at Tel-abib, who dwelt by the river Chebar, and to where they dwelt. And I sat there overwhelmed among them seven days.
He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly will flow rivers of living water.
I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
