And you shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and you shall put the table on the north side.
For there was a tabernacle made; the first, in which was the lampstand, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the sanctuary.
You shall also make a table of acacia wood: two cubits shall be the length of it, and a cubit the breadth of it, and a cubit and a half the height of it. And you shall overlay it with pure gold, and make for it a molding of gold round about. And you shall make unto it a border of a handbreadth round about, and you shall make a golden molding in the border of it round about.read more.
And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are at its four legs. Close to the border shall the rings be for places for the poles to bear the table. And you shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.
And upon the table of showbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover them: and the showbread shall be on it: And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of badger skins, and shall put in its poles.
And to the office of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertains the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily grain offering, and the anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that is therein, in the sanctuary, and in the utensils thereof.
Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth. With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shall you engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: you shall make them to be set in settings of gold. And you shall put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
And you shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: two- tenth of an ephah shall be in one cake.
And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread on hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
Also we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God; For the showbread, and for the continual grain offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
Both for the showbread, and for the fine flour for meal offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is mixed with all kinds of measures and sizes;

So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the showbread, that was taken away from before the LORD, to put hot bread in its place the day when it was taken away.
