And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

But they that are godless in heart lay up anger: They cry not for help when he bindeth them.

For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, And the covetous renounceth, yea , contemneth Jehovah.

And if he come to see me , he speaketh falsehood; His heart gathereth iniquity to itself: When he goeth abroad, he telleth it.

His mouth was smooth as butter, But his heart was war: His words were softer than oil, Yet were they drawn swords.

A heart that deviseth wicked purposes, Feet that are swift in running to mischief,

Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

Why will ye be still stricken, that ye revolt more and more? the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.

And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

And straightway Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, saith unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

But Jesus perceiving their reasonings, answered and said unto them, Why reason ye in your hearts?

But the things which proceed out of the mouth come forth out of the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings:

And he said, That which proceedeth out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, evil thoughts proceed, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, covetings, wickednesses, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, railing, pride, foolishness:read more.
all these evil things proceed from within, and defile the man.
