that he may withdraw man [from his] purpose, and hide pride from man. He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of heaven broke forth upon the great sea.

So David took the spear and the cruse of water from Saul's head, and they got away. And no man saw it, nor knew it, neither did any awake, for they were all asleep, because a deep sleep from LORD was fallen upon them.
For LORD has poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes. The prophets, and your heads, the seers, he has covered.
Say ye, His disciples, having come by night, stole him from us while we slept.

But Peter and those with him were weighed down with sleep, and having become awake, they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.

Do not give sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids. Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.
But while the men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares in the midst the wheat, and went away.
How long will thou sleep, O sluggard? When will thou arise out of thy sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep, so thy poverty shall come as a robber, and thy want as an armed man.
Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty. Open thine eyes, [and] thou shall be satisfied with bread.
His watchmen are blind. They are all without knowledge. They are all mute dogs. They cannot bark, dreaming, laying down, loving to slumber.
