The LORD shall bring upon thee and upon thy people and upon thy father's house days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even unto the king of Assyria. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. In the same day the Lord shall raze with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet and it shall also consume the beard.

so shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their hope and of Egypt their glory. And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such was our hope which we clung to for help that we might be free from the presence of the king of Assyria. How shall we escape?

For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod. And in every evil place there shall be a staff that the LORD shall cause to lay upon him with tambourines and harps: and with the strength of heaven he will fight against her.

Then the Assyrian shall fall by the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the presence of the sword, and his young men shall faint. And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the banner, saith the LORD, unto whom there is fire in Zion, and unto whom there is a furnace in Jerusalem.

It was good that I planted them among the peoples; even in far countries there shall be mention made of me; and they shall live with their sons and turn again. I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them. And the tribulation shall pass through the sea and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up; and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall be lost.read more.
