Regarding your former way of life, you were taught to strip off your old nature, which is being ruined by its deceptive desires,
We know that our old natures were crucified with him so that our sin-laden bodies might be rendered powerless and we might no longer be slaves to sin.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

Now the actions of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, rivalry, jealously, outbursts of anger, quarrels, conflicts, factions, envy, murder, drunkenness, wild partying, and things like that. I am telling you now, as I have told you in the past, that people who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
So put to death your worldly impulses: sexual sin, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry).

I don't understand what I am doing. For I don't practice what I want to do, but instead do what I hate.
But if I do what I don't want to do, I am no longer the one who is doing it, but it is the sin that is living in me.
To focus our minds on the human nature leads to death, but to focus our minds on the Spirit leads to life and peace. That is why the mind that focuses on human nature is hostile toward God. It refuses to submit to the authority of God's Law because it is powerless to do so.
A person who isn't spiritual doesn't accept the things of God's Spirit, for they are nonsense to him. He can't understand them because they are spiritually evaluated.
Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. (This is the second death the lake of fire.) Anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.
