And they say, How does God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?

Knowing this first, that there will come at the end of the days, scoffers, proceeding according to their own desires, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For, from since the fathers became asleep, all things continue this way from the beginning of creation.

But in my adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The wretches gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not. They tore me, and ceased not. Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

Watch therefore, lest that which is spoken in the prophets should come upon you: Behold, ye scoffers, and wonder, and perish, because I work a work in your days, which ye would, no, not believe, if some man should fully narrate it to you.

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profaneness, and to utter error against LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. The hypocrite destroys his neighbor with his mouth, but the righteous shall be delivered through knowledge.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers,

But shun profane babblings, for they will advance to greater impiety,

But reject the profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself to piety.

O Timothy, keep the entrustment, avoiding the profane babblings and objections of the falsely-called knowledge, which some men professing have missed the mark concerning the faith. Grace is with thee. Truly.
