For we must all die, and we are as water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. And God does not take a life, but has devised plans so that the outcast is not cast out from Him.
For he sees wise men die; likewise the fool and the animal-like ones perish, and leave their wealth to others.
What man lives and never sees death? Shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
For that which happens to the sons of men also happens to beasts, even one thing happens to them. As this one dies, so that one dies; yea, they all have one breath; so that a man has no advantage over a beast; for all is vanity.
