Then the righteous shall answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry, and fed You? Or thirsty, and gave You drink? When did we see You a stranger, and took You in? Or naked, and clothed You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and came to You? And the King shall answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you have done it to Me.
the Lord opens the eyes of the blind; Jehovah raises those who are bowed down; Jehovah loves the righteous;
And Jehovah said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which has come to Me. And Abraham drew near and said, Will You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Perhaps there are fifty righteous within the city. Will You also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are in it? Far be it from You to act in this manner, to kill the righteous with the wicked. And far be it from You, that the righteous should be as the wicked. Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? And Jehovah said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes. And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak to Jehovah, who am but dust and ashes. Perhaps there will be five lacking from the fifty righteous. Will You destroy all the city for lack of five? And He said, If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it. And he spoke to Him yet again, and said, Perhaps there shall be forty found there. And He said, I will not do it for forty's sake. And he said, Oh let not Jehovah be angry, and I will speak. Perhaps there shall be thirty found there. And He said, I will not do it if I find thirty there. And he said, Lo now, I have taken upon me to speak to Jehovah. Perhaps there shall be twenty found there. And He said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake. And he said, Oh do not let Jehovah be angry, and I will speak only once more. Perhaps ten shall be found there. And He said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For Jehovah knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
A little to the righteous is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but Jehovah upholds the righteous.
Cast your burden on Jehovah, and He will keep you; He will never allow the righteous to waver.
The way of Jehovah is strength to the upright; but ruin is to the workers of iniquity.
The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked comes in his place.
Jehovah will not allow the soul of the righteous to go hungry; but He casts away the desire of the wicked.

A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

But when the righteous turns from his righteousness and does injustice, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked do, shall he live? All his righteousness that he has done shall not be remembered; in his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them he shall die.
And you shall take no bribe, for the bribe blinds the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
You shall not pervert judgment; you shall not respect persons, nor take a gift. For a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and perverts the words of the righteous.
For the rod of the wicked shall not rest on the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands to iniquity.
And when the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and when I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.
Therefore, son of man, say to the sons of your people: The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression. As for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall by it in the day he turns from his wickedness. Nor shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sins. When I shall say to the righteous that he shall surely live; if he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he has committed, he shall die for it.
The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes on him with his teeth. Jehovah laughs at him; for He sees that his day is coming.
Let me not be ashamed, O Jehovah; for I have called on You; Let the wicked be ashamed; let them be silent in the grave. Let the lying lips be put to silence; the lips which speak proudly against the righteous, with pride and scorn.
They gather themselves against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
Jehovah has fulfilled His fury; He has poured out His fierce anger, and has kindled a fire in Zion, and it has devoured its foundations. The kings of the earth, and all the people of the world, would not have believed that the foe and the hater would go into Jerusalem's gates. For the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, shedding the blood of the just in her midst,
So says Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, yea for four, I will not turn away from it; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals; panting after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turning aside the way of the meek. And a man and his father will go in to the same woman, to defile My holy name.
For I know your many transgressions and your many sins. They afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate.
Therefore the law has become helpless, and justice does not always go forth. For the wicked entraps the righteous; therefore justice goes forth, being perverted.
so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance; he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. And man shall say, Truly, there is a reward for the righteous; truly, there is a God judging in the earth.
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flowering;read more.
to show that Jehovah is upright; He is my rock, and no unrighteousness is in Him.
The desire of the righteous is only good; the hope of the wicked is wrath.
Evil pursues sinners, but to the righteous good shall be repaid. A good man leaves an inheritance to his sons' sons, and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but in the gain of the wicked is trouble.
Say to the righteous that it is well; for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
The righteous one perishes, and no one lays it to heart, and merciful men are taken away; no one cares that the righteous is taken away from the face of evil.
The wicked is driven away in his wickedness, but the righteous has hope in his death.
And He also said to him who invited Him, When you make a dinner or a supper, do not call your friends or your brothers, or your kinsmen, or your rich neighbors; lest they also invite you again, and a recompense be made to you. But when you make a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and you shall be blessed, for they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.
from men by Your hand, O Jehovah, from men of the world whose portion is in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your treasure. They are satisfied with sons, and will leave their riches to their babes. As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with Your image.
And they shall be Mine, says Jehovah of Hosts, for the day that I will make up My treasure. And I will pity them as a man has pity on his son who serves him. Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God, and him who does not serve Him.
But I confess this to you, that after the Way which they call heresy, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things that are written in the Law and in the Prophets. And I have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. And in this I exercise myself, always to have a blameless conscience toward God and men.
