Yet you do not know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls and its beauty is destroyed. So will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.

And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, 'There will be hot weather'; and there is. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; but how is it you do not know how to interpret this present time?
