'Channels' in the Bible

“Then the channels of the sea appeared,The foundations of the world were laid bareBy the rebuke of the Lord,At the blast of the breath of His nostrils.

“He hews out channels through the rocks,And his eye sees anything precious.

Then the channels of water appeared,And the foundations of the world were laid bareAt Your rebuke, O Lord,At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.

The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the Lord;He turns it wherever He wishes.

“Now therefore, behold, the Lord is about to bring on them the strong and abundant waters of the Euphrates,Even the king of Assyria and all his glory;And it will rise up over all its channels and go over all its banks.

‘The waters made it grow, the deep made it high.With its rivers it continually extended all around its planting place,And sent out its channels to all the trees of the field.
