'Clan' in the Bible

And Abimelech the son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem to his mother’s relatives, and spoke to them and to the whole clan of the household of his mother’s father, saying,

“The smallest one will become a clan,And the least one a mighty nation.I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.”

And I will remove their blood from their mouthAnd their detestable things from between their teeth.Then they also will be a remnant for our God,And be like a clan in Judah,And Ekron like a Jebusite.
